The perfect spot to play a legendary round

Legends Golf & Country Club    offers a par 72 Private Championship golf course. The tees range from 6652 to 5212 yards.

The fairways are spacious and forgiving with mounding around the generous-sized greens to create an enjoyable yet challenging layout.

Lakes, ponds and creeks set picturesque scenes around 14 of Legends holes.

Just enough hazards to grab your attention yet you can relax, only a few holes actually require forced carries over water. The rest of the water lies along the sides of fairways where you can avoid trouble if you play it smart.

Our golf course architect Joe Lee, a legend in himself, was known for creating courses where golfers can easily calculate the strategy to the hole – no wacky tricks or blind shots. If you hit the ball and hit it straight, you’re going to score well here.

Your round will start on a par-4 (351 yards from the back tees and 262 from the forward) where there is a lake off to your right. It’s a fairly straightforward hole where the biggest challenge is putting on a green with a huge undulation to it. In fact, the greens are known for some ups and downs.

One of the best strategic tests you’ll face comes on No. 2, a par-4 hole. This is a classic Risk-Reward designed hole. Each player is teased to go over part of the lake on the right in order to cut off some distance to the green or playing it safe and going to the left.

You’ll finish the front nine with another challenging hole, a par-4 that plays at 398 yards from the back tees and 331 from the forward. There’s a tall stand of trees on the right side which we mark as a hazard. Use your driver to get as far as you can down the narrow landing area. This is a great-looking hole that is beautifully framed by the woods.

One of the few holes where water challenges you is No. 14. A small creek here trickles in front of the green on this par-4 (389 yards from the back tees and 321 from the forward).

You can’t cross the creek with your drive. The water lies only about 30 yards short of the green and it’s not a demanding shot to cross to the green, but the optics will give you a hard time.
